In July, as part of our Gold and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award, we will be traveling to Kenya for a two-week volunteer trip with Jengana. During our time there, we will be working directly at their centre, supporting their team in any way we can.
Jengana does incredible work supporting families living in the slums in Kenya. One of their most urgent and ongoing needs is providing essential food packages to families facing food insecurity. Alongside this short term aid, Jengana also work towards educating young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and providing a safe space for many children to learn and grow.
This May, we hope to be taking on the challenge of the Belfast City Marathon as a relay team to help us reach our fundraising goal.
Every contribution no matter the size will make a meaningful difference. Your generosity will help ensure that families have access to basic necessities, hope for the future and that the centre can continue the vital work it does every day. Please share with family and friends.
Thank you so much.
