Hi,
I am raising money for Jengana, a charity based in Northern Ireland who support people in Kenya living in poverty. The objective of Jengana is to show God’s love in a practical way by meeting people at their point of need.
As part of the team heading to Kenya this summer I will visit projects supported by Jengana, give encouragement and get involved in the varied activities.
This will include:
• Home visits: visiting slum based families to encourage them and to bring food packages
• Streetfeeding: going into Nairobi city centre with bread and milk to feed men, children and women with babies living on the streets
• Volunteering at our Kipepeo Home for babies and children, spending time feeding and playing with babies and children who have been orphaned/abandoned
• Visiting and helping at a rehabilitation home for street boys
• Rural building project
• Visiting the slum schools which we help to support through sponsorship and our feeding programme
• Painting and minor repairs at slum school
• Working on our Jengana land
• Running a Kids’ Bible Club
Your donations will be used to provide food, medical supplies and education amongst many other things. Please take a look at www.jengana.com to see exactly how you can make a difference.
If you wish to donate the link is below.
Many thanks
