Dublin Marathon is tomorrow, and I am proud to be able to run it to benefit 'Hannah'. She is a 12 year old girl who was found abandoned as a newborn in a plastic bag at the roadside. She has flourished at Kipepeo despite her traumatic start in life. Unlike a lot of the kids at Kipepeo, Jengana have no links to any of Hannah's biological family so she will stay with her Kipepeo family until she is an independent adult. Jengana want to give kids like Hannah the best education and opportunities so that they have the chance to do well and support themselves without that family background that most of us take for granted.
School fees in Kenya are expensive and then day to day costs like food, uniform and health care really add up.
Having some of our children supported by individuals or churches means we have the security of knowing their needs are catered for and lets us reach more vulnerable children.
I have set a target of £1000. This would provide Hannah with support for three years. Any donations would be so welcome, and help me push through 26.2 gruelling miles tomorrow!
Having met Hannah during my recent trip to Kenya, it would be amazing to raise this money to support such a wonderful child. Thank-you 🙂
